Lauderdale Lofts is a Historic Adaptive Reuse project located in downtown Providence, RI. The “Lauderdale Building” was built in 1894 as an office building. After years of neglect, GRE purchased the building and began a gut-renovation of the six-story structure. The exterior is being restored, with new windows and repointed brick. The interior spaces are being converted to 24 luxury apartments. The ground floor tenant lobby is being restored, and there is 5,000 s.f. of retail/restaurant space. The Historic Tax Credit program is being utilized, working closely with RI SHPO. Completion is expected to be in 2025.
